How the names are assigned
Joining early access makes you eligible for a free personalised ID. It does not reserve a particular name today.
When selection opens, IDs are assigned strictly by the moment each request reaches our system. If two people ask for the same one, the request received first gets it.
Why $2, or €2, later?
Building this and protecting it takes infrastructure, development and security work that never stops. Once the early-access offer ends, optional purchases pay for it: a personalised Unidy ID, and later some Unidy things worth owning.
Nobody has to pay to have a Unidy. Everybody gets a unique ID, and the essential things stay free. The people who choose a personalisation keep Unidy independent and free for everybody else.
Free does not mean you are the product.
As the community grows, organisations may pay Unidy to send something to people who have explicitly chosen to hear about that subject. The organisation never receives your private information. Unidy delivers it, and you decide:
- Who may reach you
- What subjects you accept
- Which channel they may use
- How long the permission lasts
- When it stops
