Questions people ask
Does Unidy update the contacts on my phone?
Yes, with the Unidy app. Give permission once, and the contacts of people you’re connected with on Unidy update on their own, so the phone number you tap to call is the current one. Only the details that person shares with you change. Turn it off any time.
Do the people I connect with on Unidy see all my details?
No. Connecting doesn’t show anyone your details by itself. You set once which details each person sees, and you can change that whenever you want.
What if the other person isn’t on Unidy?
You can still send them your new details. They get an email with them, and an invitation to get their own Unidy. To get their changes automatically too, they need to join Unidy and connect with you.
Can I bring the contacts I already have?
Yes. Import them from your phone in the app, or from a CSV or Excel file. Then sort them into groups like Family or Work.
Does a contact saved from my digital business card update?
No. Save contact adds a plain copy to the phone, and it stays as it was saved. Updates need a Unidy connection.
Can I change later which of my details someone sees?
Yes, any time. Each person sees only the details you leave on for them.
Who still has my old home address?
When you change a detail, Unidy lists the people who got the old one through Unidy, so you know who still needs the new one.
Can I tell some people about a change and not others?
Yes. Sort your contacts once into groups like Family, Friends or Work, and choose which groups get each change.
Is Unidy a social network?
No. There is no feed, nothing to post and no likes. A Unidy connection only keeps two people’s contact details up to date for each other, and only the details each of you chooses to share.
Are Unidy connections and automatic contact updates free?
Yes. Connections, updates, groups and imports are free, for good.
