A phone lies on stone steps, left behind next to someone sitting there.

  • Which ones: your passport, your will, your bank cards.
  • Face or fingerprint in the app, or only your PIN.
  • When to turn protection off. That asks for your PIN too.

Good to know

  • Unidy’s support tool never opens a protected document.
  • It’s never a proof on your CV, nor used to build one.

Common questions

What happens if I type the wrong document PIN?

Your protected documents lock for a while. Unidy tells you, and every wrong try goes into your Audit.

What if I forget my document PIN?

Sign in again in full, second step included, then enter the code Unidy emails you and choose a new PIN. Unidy’s team can never see, set or reset it.

Why doesn’t my phone’s passcode open a protected document?

Other people often know it. So the app takes only your face or fingerprint, or your PIN, and a newly added face or finger needs your PIN first.

Does a protected document ask for my PIN on a computer?

Yes, always. A browser can’t check your face or fingerprint without also accepting the computer’s password.

Can the people I shared a protected document with still open it?

Yes. They open their own copy, under your rules. Your PIN guards your Unidy, not their copy.
