What does a website get when you sign in with Unidy?

Only what you tick. The website gets your name and Unidy ID, and anything more, like an email address or home address, only if you agree.

You see what the website gets before you agree

The screen lists what the website gets and what it never gets. Untick any detail you don’t want to give.

Then choose Allow, Allow once or Deny.

Two websites can’t tell through Unidy that you are the same person

Each website gets its own private identifier for you, so two websites can’t tell through Unidy that you are the same person.

Move house, and websites you allowed get your new address

With Allow, the website reads your current details when it needs them. Move house and it gets the new address automatically.

With Allow once, it gets them that one time only.

Disconnect a website any time

Your list of connected websites shows what each one gets and when it last read it. Disconnect and its access ends at once.

Every read appears in your Unidy account, under Audit. Under the hood it is standard OpenID Connect.
