Who holds the keys to your information in Unidy?
Your information is locked with keys that belong to you alone: one for you and one for each document. There is no master key that opens everyone’s data.
One key per person. No master key.
Every document you add gets its own key. That key is then locked with your personal key.
Nobody else shares your key, and no single key opens every account.
The keys are kept apart from your information
Your documents and details live in one place. The keys live in a separate key vault, with its own program and its own database.
So anyone who copies the stored documents without the keys gets only scrambled text. Every use of a key is recorded.
What Unidy can and cannot promise
A service that shows you your documents can read them. Unidy uses your keys to show you your information while you are signed in, and to read a new document’s text and draw its preview.
Unidy’s staff work through one controlled tool that cannot open keys. Anything Unidy’s staff do on your account appears in your Unidy account, under Audit, the list of every action on it.
Your information is protected when stored and when sent
- Your information is stored encrypted with AES-256.
- Everything sent between your device and Unidy uses TLS 1.3 with a post-quantum key exchange (X25519MLKEM768).
- Unidy reads your documents on its own servers, never through an outside AI service.
- Unidy never sells your personal information.
