What does someone receive when you share a document?
A copy made at that moment for that one recipient, never your stored file. Their name, the date and why you shared it are written across every page.
Each person or organization gets a fresh copy of your document
Share your lease with your new landlord and Unidy makes a copy just for them. Share it with your bank tomorrow and the bank gets its own copy.
Your original file stays in your Unidy account, unchanged.
Each copy carries the person’s name, so anyone who sees it knows who it was for
Every page carries a watermark with the person’s name, the date, why you shared it and a share code.
Pages are redrawn as pictures, so nobody can edit the text. A hidden, signed mark inside each copy shows who it was made for and when.
Each shared copy has a PIN and an end date
- A PIN is needed to open the shared copy. The PIN is on by default and never written in the link.
- You choose how long the shared copy can be opened, up to 7 days, and how many times.
- You choose which pages of the document to share: page 2 only, or pages 5-7.
- Two wrong PINs close the shared copy at once, and Unidy tells you.
The honest limit: an opened copy can be photographed
Once someone opens the copy, they can photograph or download it. The watermark stays on it, so it always shows who it was for.
