Can you take back a document you shared?
Yes: end a share any time and the link stops working at once. What no one can undo is a copy someone already saved or photographed.
Every shared document stops opening on its own, within 7 days
You pick how long a share lasts, up to 7 days, and how many times it can be opened. When either runs out, it ends automatically.
Nothing to remember, no forgotten links still open a year later.
Or stop the shared copy yourself, at once
Changed your mind about the apartment? Tap End now. The link and QR code stop working at once, and the copy made for that person is deleted.
You can also change the end date or the openings limit while the share is running.
Taking a document back can’t erase a copy someone already saved
If the person downloaded, printed or photographed the copy before you ended it, that copy still exists. Nobody can reach into their phone to erase it.
That is why every copy carries their name, the date and a share code. It always shows who it was for.
You can also protect the PDF copy with a password. A saved PDF copy asks for it every time it opens, so anyone who finds the file without the password can’t open it.
A link you sent can be ended. An email attachment can’t.
Send a link and you can end it any time. Attach a file to an email instead and it stays in their inbox for good.
