See who opened a document you shared
Every document you share keeps its own record: each opening, with the time, the approximate place and the device. It happens on its own, with nothing to set up.
Every opening of your shared document is recorded
You sent your health insurance card to the clinic on Monday. Open that share in Unidy and you see it was opened Monday at 10:14 on a Windows computer near Denver.
The time shows in your time zone and theirs. The place is worked out inside Unidy, without asking an outside service.
Failed attempts to open your document are recorded too
- Every wrong PIN someone types is recorded.
- Two wrong PINs close the shared copy, and Unidy tells you.
- Anyone who tries to open the copy after it ended is recorded too.
The person opening your document is told it is recorded
Before opening, the person sees a notice that each opening is recorded.
Unidy keeps a receipt of exactly what you shared
Each share keeps a receipt of exactly which document, pages and details went out, even if you later delete the document. Every share and every opening also appears in your Unidy account, under Audit, next to your sign-ins.
